Team TORGOEN Swiss ambassador Jack Hawksworth enjoyed a stunning weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA in rounds 1 and 2 of the 2012 Star Mazda Championship

Driving the Team Pelfrey #82 car, Hawksworth ended the weekend with a 2nd place in race #1, a pole position and race win in race #2 and the overall lead in the championship. Racing has been in Terry’s blood from an incredibly young age. At the age of just five years-old he found himself behind the bars of his first motorbike, graduating to car driving at the grand old age of six! Now, an incredible 15 world records later, Grant is widely regarded as one of the greatest performers in the stunt performing business
Travelling all over the world, Grant has performed at some of the most prestigious events on the global calendar; from the Race of Champions in Paris, to the London Motorshow and the TV studio of Guinness World Records in Madrid
Grant has also worked for the cream of manufacturers including General Motors, Saab, Vauxhall, Nissan and TVR to name but a few
“If ever there was a performer to fit the ‘Nothing Impossible’ mantra of the TORGOEN Swiss brand it is Terry Grant. From laps of race circuits on just two wheels of a car to changing a wheel of a moving vehicle, Terry’s performances are just mind-blowing
We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic figure and look forward to supporting him in his shows across the globe”, said Peter Carmichael, Business Development Director for Since 1853 Ltd, Official UK Distributor for TORGOEN Swiss
Grant is also looking forward to the relationship: “TORGOEN Swiss are building a great presence within motorsport and I’m delighted to be part of their team of racers. I’ve got some major plans for the next 12 months and I’m pleased to have TORGOEN Swiss behind me all the way”

TORGOEN Swiss UK is delighted to announce a sponsorship deal with Honda Racing Team drivers Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden for the remainder of the 2011 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. The Swiss watch brand, who specialise in professional pilot watches, will be on both drivers’ racing helmets for the remainder of the season as part of the deal which sees the pair become TORGOEN Swiss Ambassadors
“TORGOEN Swiss has a long heritage in creating timepieces for pilots, so the high speed and thrills of motorsport are a natural fit for the brand
We are delighted to partner with such well-established and successful drivers as Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden as we begin our expansion in the UK market
We look forward to collaborating with them over the coming year and beyond”
said Peter Carmichael, Business Development Director at Since 1853 Ltd, Official UK Distributor for TORGOEN Swiss
Neal, who leads the 2011 championship at the halfway stage by 9 points, said:
“I’m delighted to be in partnership with TORGOEN Swiss. You can tell that hours of work have gone into the mechanics of the watches just like our cars.
It’s great to have TORGOEN Swiss behind me as I push for my third title and I hope to share lots of success with them in the coming months.”
Shedden, known as ‘Flash’, who sits third in this year’s championship, was equally buoyant on the deal:
“I’m delighted to partner with such a high quality brand.
It’s great that their slogan is ‘Nothing Impossible’, as it resonates with my approach to driving – I never stop believing in my ability and drive the car to its limits”
said the 32 year-old from Fife, Scotland
Neal and Shedden are both household names in the racing world. Neal, 44, has competed in 450 BTCC races in a staggering career spanning 20 years in the Championship. Shedden has 150 races to his name and an impressive 17 race wins during that time which he will look to build on in his quest to close the 20-point gap to Matt at the top of the championship. The outstanding form this season from the Team Dynamics duo has given Honda a huge 100-point cushion at the top of the Team Championship
